Windscreens being repaced on site with rust around the solid frame that the glass is structuraly glued to.
may need in some cases a scrape back and to be treated with a rust killing sealing primer so the glass can be glued
back into the car safly to the new zealand safty standard to give the best adhesion to body of the car ,truck ,ute ,van
what ever the vehicle. If there are holes in the frame work where the glass glues to the vehicle the windscreen installer
may ask to have the holes welded and paint repaired so the windscreen can then be installed safly back into the vehicle.
If this is the case we the installer by nz law can not install the windscreen back over holes that would leave the vehicle
dangerous for the ower to be driving after said install therefore we will not install a new or second hand windscreen over
any hole . our company policy !!!
Our vans carry a small amount of tools primer air compressor etc to carry out minor on site repairs to get the job done
(where there are no holes presant in the frame)
Rust can cause the windscreen to leak and have wind noises when driving

also you may find brown rusty marks leaching out from around the windscreen or
rubbers and or bubbly spoty paint around front and rear screens .
